Where does the Welding Fabrication job training classes take place?
Train to be a welder at 5 CET campuses: Colton, CA; El Centro, CA; El Paso, TX; San Diego, CA; and Watsonville, CA. CET’s welding training offers classroom learning as well as access to a fully stocked welding lab for hands-on learning.

How long does it take to finish Welding Fabrication job training program?With 30 hours a week of attendance, students usually finish the 900 hour program in 8-9 months.

How much does it cost to train as a welder and how can I pay for this?
The welding job training program costs $15,500 including books, project supplies and tools. If you qualify for financial aid you may be eligible to receive grants, scholarships and/or federal student loans.

What if I didn’t graduate from high school or don’t have my GED?
At CET you may have options without them. Be sure to tell the Admissions Department so they can guide you through the eligibility process.

Do you provide any certificates needed by employers?
The Welding Fabrication program certifies to an employer that you are ready for an entry level position as a welder.

What do I need to get started learning to be a professional truck driver? Are there any high school math classes I need to get started?
No. Students are provided with basic skills instruction that includes English and math. Additional one on one tutoring is available if needed by the student.
