Join Us in Celebrating the Life and Work of

Cesar Chavez

Join us in honoring the legacy of a true champion for justice and equality, Cesar Chavez, at the upcoming Cesar Chavez Celebration Breakfast hosted by the Center for Employment Training in collaboration with the Chavez Family Vision, Inc.

Cesar Chavez was a pioneering labor leader and civil rights activist who dedicated his life to fighting for farmworkers' rights in the United States. Born into a migrant farmworker family in Arizona, Chavez experienced firsthand the hardships and injustices faced by agricultural laborers. In response, he co-founded the United Farm Workers (UFW) union, leading historic strikes and boycotts to demand fair wages, humane working conditions, and dignity for farmworkers. Chavez's nonviolent tactics and commitment to social justice inspired millions and led to significant victories, including the passage of legislation protecting farmworkers' rights. His tireless advocacy and unwavering dedication continue to inspire movements for labor rights and social justice worldwide.

The celebration will commence on March 27th in the banquet hall at the Center for Employment Training at 8:30am and consist of a complete breakfast service, MC Damian Trujillo alongside special guest Luis Valdez as the keynote speaker, and live music. This event is not just a commemoration but a rallying call for continued dedication to the values of empowerment and social change. Together, we can uphold Chavez's vision of unity, perseverance, and the belief in the power of community. Your attendance pays tribute to a remarkable leader and supports initiatives aimed at uplifting and empowering individuals and communities.
